Natural tourist resources

For each region of our country, the natural potential plays a determinant role in developing tourism and records a wide variety and complexity, given the diversity of the landscape. Câmpina is one of Romania’s privileged areas, depicting interest for its landscape value, as well for the fact that it offers different possibilities of disposing and touristic supplies.

Climbing the Muscel hill, from its 550m a lovely view of the city and its surroundings can be admired. From here, it is easily ascertained that the three rivers that surrounds it, the Câmpiniţa river at North, the Doftana river at East, the Prahova river at West, succeeded to shape Câmpina’s terrace, by making it into a triangular shape platform, with sweet slopes or more abrupt ones.

Another zone of an outstanding beaty is the recreational area “Fantana cu ciresi”, surrounded by hardwood. The Glodeasa reservation can be admired a few km away, a secular virgin forest of beech and fir, aged between 200 and 300 years and heights of 40-45m.
